Joseph A. Boroch, 93, of Cherry Flats Rd., passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Anna Banik and Margaret Edwards, both of whom preceded him in death. Joseph was born in Morris Run, on February 25, 1922 the son of the late Michael and Helen (Butkoski) Boroch.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Wellsboro. Joseph worked many jobs throughout his lifetime. He was a coal miner, worked at the Foundry in Blossburg, was a forest ranger for PA State Forestry Department and a foreman for the highway department. Joseph also enjoyed the outdoors he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Joseph was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Europe during World War II.
Surviving are his daughter, Jacqueline Werts (Arnold), Wellsboro; son, William Boroch, Welsh Settlement; granddaughter, Victoria Werts and fiancé, Nathan Graham, Mountville, PA; grandson, Matthew Werts (Jackie); great-grandchildren, Cooper Werts and Sage Marie Werts, all of Mt. Joy, PA. In addition to his parents, and wives, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jo Ann Boroch and son, Michael Boroch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 9:30 AM, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with Rev. David Bechtel officiating. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Blossburg.
