John J. Felondis

John Felondis, 62 of Wellsboro, passed away on February 28, 2026. John was born November 12, 1963, in Scranton, PA, the son of John and Dolores Felondis.

John was an avid outdoorsman who was happiest in the woods or on the lake. Nothing made him happier than sitting in his tree stand, waiting for the big buck to appear, or sitting in the boat with a line in the water.

John spent 40+ years working for the USDA where he touched the lives of farmers throughout the state. His dedication to the agricultural community was truly one of a kind. To John, the farmers were never just clients — they were family, and the relationships he built with them grew into lifelong connections and friendships.

John is survived by his wife, Tammy Felondis; his mother, Dolores Felondis; his sister, Jodi (Ed) Risse; and his brothers‑in‑law, Kyle (Lori) Moore and Curtis (Connie) Moore. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews who adored him: Sydney, Lindsey, Eric, Jennifer, Jessica, and Corey. John was predeceased by his father, John Felondis, and his sister‑in‑law, Lori Wells.

In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no services. He asked only that his friends and family raise a glass, share some stories, and toast to the wonderful memories made together.
