John A. Dimoplon

John A. Dimoplon, 95, of Morris, passed away Saturday March 16, 2024, at UPMC Soldiers and Sailors in Wellsboro. He was born February 2, 1929, in Bayonne, NJ to George and Agnes (Petropolous) Dimoplon. John graduated from high school and then completed schooling for drafting. He served in the US Army's Second Cavalry during the Korean Conflict. Then he worked designing parts for the aircraft industry, and on July 15, 1956, he married Dorothy B. Marton, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. Together they raised their two sons: Steven and Chris Dimoplon. John attended First Presbyterian Church in Wellsboro, when able. He and his sons were often seen walking around Wellsboro, and the three especially enjoyed eating at the Wellsboro Diner. John is survived by his two sons and several nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by his parents and wife. In accordance with his wishes, arrangements have been entrusted to the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA, and there will be no public services.
