Jean C. (Rabaioli) Reese

Jean C. (Rabaioli) Reese, 82, of Wellsboro, passed away Sunday October 17, 2021 at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Wellsboro.  She was born August 28, 1939 in Barre, VT to Louis and Lucy (Galli) Rabaioli.  Jean graduated from Wellsboro High School, and earned her nursing degree.  She worked as an RN at Soldiers and Sailors until 1976 when she started BJL’s Howl a Day Inn on Catlin Hollow Road.  On May 25, 1963, Jean married William L. Reese, and together they raised their two sons.  Jean loved her family, her friends, her dogs and her customers.  She was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Wellsboro.

Jean is survived by her sons:  Louis Reese of Wellsboro, and William Reese (Genevieve) of South Sterling, PA; 4 grandchildren:  Peter Reese of Wellsboro, Joshua Reese of Burlington, VT, Regina Reese of South Sterling, PA, and William Reese III of Tafton, PA; and her beloved dog Togo.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to her life from 6-8pm Monday October 25, 2021at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA.  Burial will be in the Catlin Hollow Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in her memory be directed to  an animal charity or rescue of the donor’s choice.  To share a memory or condolence with her family, visit www.tusseymosher.com.
