Jean Green, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on August 27, 2022 at Arden Courts of Susquehanna in Harrisburg, PA. She was born February 9, 1940 in Whitneyville, PA to Samuel R. and Hulda (Baumann) Kroll. She was a graduate of North Penn High School, Blossburg, PA and had been employed at the Blossburg State General Hospital for 15 years. On July 14, 1958, she married Lamar G. Green, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Art Education in 1977, and Master of Education in 1980, she taught at Troy Area School District, Southern Tioga School District, and the Wellsboro Area School District. She was a member of the Wellsboro Art Club, the National Audubon Society, The Mansfield Garden Club, an official member of the National Home Gardening Club, the Tioga County Y.M.C.A., and a member of the National Rifle Association of America and The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wellsboro, PA. Jean is survived by a daughter: Christina Green of Mechanicsburg, PA; two sisters: Elsie Bell of Wellsboro, and Jane Raber of Camp Hill, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews and good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Jean's life from 12:00pm-1:00pm Thursday September 1, 2022 at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA, a funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home with pastor Weatherall officiating.
