Jaylen Chad Hege

Jaylen Chad Hege, 15, of Wellsboro, passed away July 9, 2025.  He was born August 4, 2009, in Wellsboro, the son of Nevin R. and Julia K. (Yoder) Hege.  Jaylen gave his heart to the Lord and was active in the work of the Stony Fork Mennonite Church.  He also enjoyed farming, hunting, and spending time with his friends.

In addition to his parents, Jaylen is survived by his paternal grandparents: Lester and Rachel Hege of Wellsboro; his maternal grandfather, Steven Yoder of Alliance, OH; brothers: Jared, Rylan, and Kayden, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Miriam Yoder, and cousins: Kenton Yoder, and Jordan Martin.

Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Jaylen’s life from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm Sunday July 13, 2025, at the Stony Fork Mennonite Church, 47 Stony Fork School Rd., Wellsboro, PA 16901.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10:00 am at the church, burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family suggests memorial contributions in Jaylen’s name be made to the church.
