Janice Elaine (Brion) Johnson

Janice Elaine Johnson, 88, of Wellsboro, passed away at her residence on Sunday, January 28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.  Janice was the wife of Walter N. Johnson, who preceded her in death September 9, 2011.  She was born February 9, 1929 in Liberty Township, PA, the daughter of the late R. Clair and Erma (Miller) Brion.

In her lifetime Janice was employed as a bookkeeper, for various Wellsboro businesses.   In addition, she and her husband, owned and operated their own dairy farm for over 40 years. Janice was a member of Middle Ridge Grange and the Pennsylvania Young Farmers Association.   Janice loved to spend time with family, gardening, baking, and travel. After their retirement she and Walter spent many winters in Florida. She attended Draper Baptist Church, Ansonia CMA and Hollister Florida Baptist.

Janice is survived by her two daughters, Colleen Johnson, Wellsboro, PA and Carol Ann Johnson (Craig Seig), Carlisle, PA; four sons, Victor Johnson (Sandi) Asheboro, NC, Max Johnson (Theresa Ritter), Wellsboro, PA, Brion Johnson (Janet), Camp Hill, PA, Michael Johnson (Jodi), Mechanicsburg, PA; fourteen grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; her brother, Arnold Brion (Carol), Mansfield, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, Janice was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Prince.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 9-11 am at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Memorial service to follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Ronald Hagy officiating. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, at the convenience of the family.
