James Roland Scandle

James Roland Scandle, 76, of Wellsboro passed away at home on January 18, 2024, with his wife at his side. He was born on September 17, 1947, to Roland and Margaret (Buggy) Scandle in Shamokin, PA. He married Merry Carol (Herb) on February 5, 1966. James was an Electrician for many years and was employed by IBEW 607. He was a member of the Galeton Moose, enjoyed hunting and fishing and cutting firewood. James had visited Tioga County since he was in high school and eventually bought a camp and built his home here. He is survived by his wife; son: James Scandle, Jr. (Betty) of Shamokin, PA; daughter: Merry Cervantes of California; two grandchildren: Sarah Cervantes of Texas, Clayton Cervantes of San Diego. James is preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Margaret Ann Gannon. In accordance with his wishes, the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
