Iva M. Sherman

Iva M. Sherman, 70, of Wellsboro, passed away, Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Broad Acres Nursing Rehabilitation.

She was born on November 3 1947 in Knoxville, the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Fuller) Davenport.  She married Dale B. Sherman who preceded her in death on September 17, 2013.

Iva worked most of her life in the restaurant business, most recently with Harland’s Family Style Restaurant where she helped with catering and baking.  At one time she was a long-time member of the Wellsboro Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary.

Iva is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel F. and Kathy Harriger of Auburntown, TN; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tina M. and Chris Brown of Toms Rivers, NJ and Cathy L. Phillips of Youngsville, NC; a brother, Eugene Davenport of Wellsboro; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Iva was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Davenport and a sister, Linda Stiles.

Family and Friends may call from 10-11:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2018, at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901 where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will take place in the Wellsboro Cemetery.
