Howard W. Richards

Howard W. Richards, 78, of Mansfield, passed away Friday March 18, 2022 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He was born September 22, 1943 to David and Lillian (White) Richards in Blossburg, PA. He graduated from Blossburg High School and served his country in the US Army. On July 16, 1966 married Janice Hunter, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Howard was a crane operator at Dresser-Rand for 42 years and for 30 years he raised chickens. He enjoyed hunting, but was especially fond of spending time with his family, particularly his grandkids. Howard is survived by his wife: Janice Richards of Mansfield; two sons: Jeffrey Richards (Dawn) of Mansfield and Jason Richards (Barbara) of Wellsboro; 5 grandchildren: Austin, Matthew, Christopher, Colin, and Sara Richards; a great-grandson: Carson Achter; and a brother: David Richards (Sharon) of Charlotte, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister: Polly Wood, and a brother: A. J. Richards. Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Howard's life from 5-7pm Wednesday March 23, 2022 at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA, with a funeral to follow at 7pm in the funeral home.
