Helen M. Putman, 87, of Wellsboro, passed away October 25, 2015, at Broad Acres. She was the wife of Otto F. Putman, who preceded her in death May 7, 1984. Helen was born December 26, 1927, in Cogan House, Lycoming County, PA, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Olive E. (Blair) Sechrist.
Helen was a homemaker; she enjoyed tending to her houseplants and watching the birds. She loved spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Surviving are her 2 sons; Thomas Putman (Debbie), Harrisburg and Robert A. Putman, Wellsboro; 3 daughters, Betty Lou Smith (Bernard), Wellsboro, Rosie Heck (Gene), Wellsboro and Peggy Davis, Kansas; 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; her sister, Mary Johnson (Fred), Florida; sister-in-law, Janet Copp (Toby), Arizona; special friend, Susan Moser. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bruce and John Sechrist.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
