Hattie M. (Wilcox) Wilson

Hattie M. (Wilcox) Wilson, 85, of Wellsboro, passed away Monday August 25, 2025, at the Green Home in Wellsboro. She was born September 3, 1939, in Wellsboro, to Richard and Gladys (Makin) Wilcox. She graduated from Wellsboro High School in the class of "58", and in 1996 married Cortland V. Wilson. They shared 18 years of marriage before he passed away July 10, 2014. Hattie had worked in housekeeping at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Wellsboro, she was a member of the Tioga Tabernacle Baptist Church, and was proud to have had the opportunity to serve as a foster grandparent in the program at Wellsboro's Charlotte Lappla Elementary School. Hattie is survived by two step-sons: Ben Wilson (Melinda) of Nashville, TN, and George Wilson (Margaret) of Pittsburgh, PA, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, three brothers: Clifton, Paul, and Howard Wilcox, and two sisters: Lottie Wilcox and Millice Moore. Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Hatie's life from 11am-12noon Friday September 5, 2025, at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA, and at 12pm in the funeral home for her funeral service.
