George Earl Dry

George Earl Dry, Sr. 68 of Stony Fork, passed away early Tuesday January 28, 2020 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro. He was born December 27, 1951 to Edgar A and Phoebe M. (Johnson) Dry in Lancaster, PA. George worked as a Plastics Technician for Liquid Nitrogen Products and later General Electric. He was an avid hunter and member of the NRA, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, especially deep-sea fishing in the Chesapeake Bay, and horseback riding. George is survived by his wife: Deborah Dry of Stony Fork; a daughter: Lisa E. Hetrick (Joseph) of Wellsboro; two sons: Steven L. Dry of Reading, PA and George E. Dry, JR. (Catherine) of Pottstown, PA; two step-daughters: Laura M. Koch of Gap, PA and Nicole Davis (Lawrence Faddis) of Wellsboro; a step-son: Shaun Collins of Wellsboro; and 7 grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of his family with a burial at Elverson Methodist Cemetery.
