Frederick "Red" Elwell, Sr.

Frederick G. “Red” Elwell, Sr. ,77, of Little Marsh, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Brenda J. Hess, whom he married on March 11, 1961. Frederick was born March 1, 1940, in Osceola, PA the son of Richard and Norzetta (Crance) Elwell.

Frederick retired from Metamora in Elkland, PA, where he had worked in their shipping department. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and camping trips with his family. He regularly attended auctions on Thursday nights in Addison.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Brenda, are his son and daughter-in-law, Frederick G. Jr. and Darlene Elwell of Little Marsh, PA; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Brenda “Petie” Elwell of Harrison Valley, PA; daughter, Fawn “Flip” Nesman of Westfield, PA; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Christina Elwell of Troupsburg, NY; son, Chad “Toby” Elwell of Little Marsh, PA; six grandchildren; one great grandson; his sister, Donna Stockmyer of Cato, NY. In addition to his parents, Frederick was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Elwell and son-in-law, James Nesman.
