Edward L. “Pete” Hostrander, 83, of Wellsboro, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Gate House in Williamsport, PA. He was born October 14, 1933, in Cedar Run PA, the son of the late Edward L. and Mable (Carl) Hostrander.
Edward attended the First Baptist Church of Wellsboro. He enjoyed reading, and painting, especially watercolors. He was employed as Deputy Assessor for the City of Worcester, MA.
Edward served in the US Air Force during the Korean War from 1954-1948.
Edward is survived by his brother, Royce “Jim” Hostrander of Williamsport, PA and his sister, Nora Mae Tebben of Dryden, MI; his nephew, Kenneth Monks of Wellsboro, with whom he resided; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pete’s Life Celebration will be held Wednesday January 4, 2017 from 10-11 AM at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral service to follow at the 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery, with full military honors.
