Cynthia Jean Spaulding

Cynthia Jean Spaulding, 67, of Wellsboro, passed away peacefully, at her home, surrounded by family Saturday June 5, 2021. She was born April 7, 1954, in Corning, NY and raised by Wayne and Mary (Bohart) Spaulding Knowlton. Cynthia graduated from Wellsboro High School in the class of 1973. She grew up in the Wellsboro area and was a faithful worker with Partners in Progress. Cindy was a member of the Wellsboro First Baptist Church, a former member of the Wellsboro Women of the Moose, she loved doing crafts, dancing, and the color purple, but most of all she loved her family and her dog Turk. Cynthia is survived by her sister: Mary Kay Gee (Bill) of Wellsboro; a brother: Jeffrey L. Spaulding (Shari) of Wellsboro; step-brothers: Kent Knowlton (Linda) of Rochester, Garth Knowlton (Karyl) of Cherry Flats; nephew: Josh Spaulding (Cassie) and their daughter Brooklyn of Blossburg; niece: Melissa Warden (Jared) and their children Aaden, McKenzie and Levi of Mansfield; her favorite cousin Lori Cooper; aunts: Jeannie Weakland (Jack) of Horseheads, NY, and Lois Smith of Chactaw, OK; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother: Mary E. Knowlton, brother: Jack L. Spaulding, sister: Mary Ann Walker, step-father: Wayne Knowlton, and her father: Clifford Spaulding. Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Cindy's life from 10-11am Saturday June 26, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Wellsboro, with a memorial service to follow in the church, pastor Drew Simcox officiating.
