Craig Alan Shaffer

October 9, 1970 — August 28, 2016

Craig Alan Shaffer, 45, of Wellsboro, passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 28, 2016.  He was the husband of Kelly (Cramer) Shaffer.  Craig was born October 9, 1970 in Williamsport, the son of David and Lura (Shumway) Shaffer.

Craig was a long time member of Friends of Bill W.  He proudly sponsored several members throughout the years.  He was a motorcycle enthusiast and avid Pit Bull rescue advocate. Craig also performed in several Hamilton-Gibson productions.

Craig was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Wellsboro. He was a US Navy Veteran.

Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are his daughters, Emily Shaffer of Mansfield, Bronwyn Shaffer of Saco, Maine, Emily Tolliver and her family, Travis Burrows of Wellsboro and their daughter, Olivia Burrows; brothers, Scott Shaffer and wife, Dawn, and Todd Shaffer and wife, Alycia; sister, Julie Williams and husband Tom; nephews, Johnathan Williams, Riley Shaffer and Lewis Shaffer; nieces, Eileen Shaffer and Caitlyn Shaffer; his brother from another mother, Billy Bohart.  Craig is also survived by Dominic, Dharma and Delilah, his rescues.

Friends and family are invited to Craig’s Life Celebration on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 7:00 PM, First Presbyterian Church, 130 Main St., Wellsboro, PA.  In accordance with Craig’s sensibilities, formal dress is not required.  A picnic style meal will be held directly after the service at the church, everyone is invited to attend.

Memorials may be made in Craig’s name to Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, c/o Sue Cook, P.O. Box 293, Wellsboro, Pa 16901.
