Clifford W. Parsells

Clifford W. Parsells, 87, of Wellsboro, passed away at his residence on Monday, November 09, 2015.  He was the husband of Mary Ann (Andrascik) Parsells, who survives.  They were married on Aug 11, 1948, having shared 67 years of marriage together.

Clifford was born March 21, 1928 in Osceola, PA, the son of the late Waldo and Hazel (Bishop) Parsells.

Clifford graduated from the former Charleston High School with the Class of 1947.  He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Wellsboro.

Clifford enjoyed farming.  He grew potatoes, strawberries and Christmas trees, as long as his health allowed, and made and sold Christmas wreaths.

Clifford loved working on mechanical equipment and was an accomplished welder.  In addition he ran a saw sharpening business.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who knew what it was like to be sick himself; he was intentional about visiting those with health difficulties.

Surviving in addition to his wife, is his daughter and son-in-law, Juliann and Ted Carson, Wellsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Drs. Brian and Cathy Parsells, Warrensburg, MO; daughter , Carol Georgetson, Sayre; brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Mary Jane Parsells, Wellsboro; grandchildren, Karen (Joseph) Walter, Chris Briggs, Nicholas Parsells, Alyssa Parsells, James , Anastasia and Elena Georgetson, Sueanne Carson; great-grandchildren, Rhett and Mitchell Walter; several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to Clifford’s Life Celebration on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, “A Life Celebration Home”, 139 Main St., Wellsboro.  Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, November 13, 2015 9:30AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. David Bechtel officiating.  Interment in St. Peter’s Catholic Church Cemetery.
