Carl A. Martin, 86, of Middlebury Center, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2022 at the Green Home. He was born January 14, 1936, in McKeesport, the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Skirnyc) Martin. He married the former Linda M. Brunelli on April 4, 1964 and have celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Carl graduated from Hamilton Township High School and retired from US Steel, Morrisville, as a Crane Operator. Carl served in the Army Reserves from 1956 to 1962 and was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Wellsboro. Carl was a loving husband and father, a talented singer, and gifted artist. He enjoyed painting, sculpting, and making wooden bowls. He was also a gifted carpenter, he built his home in Middlebury Center, built custom furniture and refurbished old furniture.
In addition to his wife, Linda, Carl is survived by a son, Craig (Melanie) Martin of Quakertown; a daughter, Stephanie Martin of Newtown; a sister, Esther Gonos of McKeesport; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Arnold Martin, and a sister, Colleen Lally.
At Carl’s request there will be no public visitation or service.
