Beverly A. Harnish

Beverly A. Harnish, 92, of Wellsboro, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 13, 2025, at the Green Home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on December 21, 1932, in Morris, the daughter of the late Prosper E. and Anita Irene (VanZandt) Yohe.  She married Robert B. Harnish on May 11, 1985.

Beverly graduated from Wellsboro High School, Class of 1952.  She was a retired L.P.N., she worked for the Blossburg State Hospital from 1956-1972, and the North Penn Comprehensive Health Services from 1973-1997.  Beverly attended the Coolidge Hollow United Methodist Church, she was a member of the Cowanesque Chapter #33 Order of the Eastern Star, Westfield.  She volunteered with Laurel Home Health and Hospice from 2000-2016.  She enjoyed time at Hickory Hill Camping Resort in Bath, NY, gardening, bird watching, reading, her black labs, and holidays with her grandchildren, especially hiding eggs for the Easter egg hunt.

In addition to her husband, Beverly is survived by a son, Michael (Antoinette) Hall of Blossburg; daughters: Judith (Ken) Post of Ocala, FL; Susan (Richard) Naylor of Mansfield; and Laura Chase of Blossburg; a son-in-law, William B. Wilson, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and her special rescue dog, Tigger.  In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah L. (Hall) Wilson, and a sister, Elizabeth Jean Hodder.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects, Friday, January 17, 2025, from 5-6:00pm at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main Street Wellsboro, a funeral service will follow at 6:00pm with Rev. C. Franklin Helt, officiating.  A private burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  The family suggest memorial contributions in Beverly’s name be made to the Green Free Library, 134 Main St., Wellsboro, PA 16901 or the Second Chance Animal Rescue, 725 Gee Rd., Tioga, PA 16946.
