Beverly J. (Gerow) Heck

Beverly J. Heck, 85, of Wellsboro, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Gatehouse Hospice unit, located at Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport, PA. She was born February 25, 1932 in Wellsboro, PA, the daughter of the late Floyd V. and Edna V. (Apgar) Gerow.During her lifetime, Beverly was employed as a Nurse’s Aide for Broad Acres, The Green Home and Carleton Nursing Home. In addition, she managed Widman’s Store. She was a member of Wellsboro Moose – Women of the Moose Chapter #60, Wellsboro Social Club; TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly). Beverly enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and bird watching. Beverly loved to care for others as a Nurse’s Aide, however her greatest love was spending time with her family, seven children and her many grandchildren.Beverly is survived by her sons, Burton L. (Jayne) Cleveland of Troy, PA, Lynn E. (Cathy) Heck, formerly of Wellsboro and Todd L. (Colleen) Heck of Millerton, PA; daughters, Sonya (Cleveland) Zentner of Wellsboro, PA, Roxie (Cleveland) (Steve) Owens of Myrtle Beach, SC, Cinda (Heck) Goff and Tina L Heck, Ron Miller, of Wellsboro, PA; brothers, Merrill W. Gerow, Arnold E. Gerow and Robert G. Andrews; many additional relatives and close friends. Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by eleven siblings, a grandson and 6 great-grandchildren.
Beverly’s Life Celebration will be held March 13, 2017 from 2-4 PM at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM, with Pastor Darwin “Tink” Cranmer officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Wellsboro Cemetery.
