Bernice L. (Losinger) Gridley

Bernice L. (Losinger) Gridley, 79, of Wellsboro, passed away Thursday February 25, 2021 surrounded by family in her home.  She was born April 15, 1941 to Arthur and Ada (Learn) Losinger in Blossburg, PA.  On January 10, 1959 she married William A. Gridley with whom she shared 55 years of marriage and raised 5 children.  In addition to her abilities as a wife and mother, Bernice enjoyed camping, walking, hiking, dancing, cross-stitching and just being with family and friends where her remarkable, honest and unfiltered sense of humor had a chance to shine.  She was also devoted to her dog “Maxie”.

Bernice is survived by her two sons:  Michael Gridley of Lakeland, FL, and Mark Gridley of New York; three daughters:  Sandra Popovich (Mike) of Galeton, Diana Rawson (Craig) of Wellsboro, and Billyann Bollock (Frank) of Wellsboro; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister:  Ruth Waters (“Stub”) of Ft. Myers, FL.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 7 sisters:  Wanda Campbell, Elva Meyers, Alice Meyers, Joyce Aldrich, Betty Housel, Arlene Gross, and Carol Cohick.

Her family has entrusted the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, with her arrangements, and they will receive friends and family from 9:00am to 10:00am Wednesday March 3, 2021 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church to pay tribute to Bernice’s life.  A memorial Mass will follow in the church with Fr.
