Benjamin "Ben" C. Stone

Benjamin “ Ben” C. Stone, 81, of Wellsboro, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at his residence. He was the husband of Patricia (Darling) Stone who preceded him in death, November of 2015. Ben was born in Ulysses, PA , May 17, 1935,the son of the late Chester and Gladys (Sexton) Stone.
Ben taught reading in the Westfield School District before he retired. He was a member of Hillcrest Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Mansfield. He enjoyed fishing and being in the outdoors. Ben especially liked to read and tinkering.
Surviving are his son, Ben Stone (Mary) of Wellsboro; daughters, Quen Stone of Florida and Tam Wheatley of Montana; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his brother, Harvey Lehman of Oregon.
Memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Marvin Humbert officiating, on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM.
