Barbara D. Brought

Barbara D. Brought, 79, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away December 7, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Barb was born November 29, 1943 in Elizabeth, NJ, the daughter of the late Robert and Josephine Foster.  She married the love of her life, Larry J. Brought, Sr. on June 30th 1962 and had three children; Kathy (Tom) Gee of Cherry Flats; Larry (Eileen) Brought and Kim (Dave) Strange both of Wellsboro.

Barb worked most of her life and retired from the Wellsboro Area School District.  She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren; Teri, Samantha, and Joseph and with her great granddaughters; Raevyn and Kira, a precious great grandson Hunter and many nieces and nephews. Barb is also survived by her children, sisters, Diann (William) Kshir of Mansfield; Dolores (Ted) Schmucker of Goshen, IN; Betty Sockabasin of Greene, ME; Donna Morgan of Edgewater, FL; Joyce (Burnard) Rainge of New Smyrna Beach, FL; Debra Nieman of Warsaw, IN; a brother, William Foster of Farmington, NJ; and a special sister-in-law, Lorraine Foster of Laurence Harbor, NJ.  In addition to her husband and parents, Barb was preceded in death by brothers, James and Robert Foster, sisters, Patricia Katechis, Jackie Hurst, Beverly Wager, and JoAnn Foster.

She will always be “The Boss” to her family.

At Barb’s request there will be no services.  She will be laid to rest along side her husband at Catlin Hollow Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please send donations in her name to Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, www.secondchanceas.org

The family has entrusted Barb’s arrangements to the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
