Alida (Stadler) Wilcox

Alida Wilcox, 89, of Frostproof, FL passed away December 17, 2022 at the Lakeland Regional Health Center in Lakeland, FL. She was born April 21, 1933 in Blossburg to Adalbert and Zelma (Smith) Stadler. On July 19, 1951, she married Clifton Wilcox and together they shared 71 years of marriage. She had been a member of the Stony Fork Baptist Church, and enjoyed camping, travelling, and needlework, especially knitting and crocheting. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved being around family. She is survived by her husband Clifton Wilcox of Frostproof, FL; a son: Robert Wilcox (Kim) of Wellsboro; two daughters: Joan Wilcox of Frostproof, FL, and Kathy Compton (Mark) of Glendale, AZ; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Dorothy Phillips, and Beverly Markowicz. There will be memorial services in Florida and here locally at a later date, and she will be interred in Tioga County Memorial Gardens.
