Aecha Nicholson

Aecha "Eddy" Nicholson, 83 of Wellsboro, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at The Laurels in Wellsboro. Eddy grew up in Korea and moved to New Jersey with her husband Robert L. Nicholson. She worked in housekeeping for the US military at Fort Dix, and enjoyed fishing and crabbing with her husband on their boat. Aecha was a resilient and hard-working woman who overcame significant difficulties throughout her life. She moved in to The Laurels in Wellsboro to be near her daughter, as she dealt with declining health, and built many relationships there with staff and other residents.

Aecha is survived by her daughter: Mona Golobek (Don) of Wellsboro; and three grandchildren: Christopher, Isabella, and Joseph Golobek of Wellsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother.
