Oliver P. (OB) Butler, age 73, a life-long resident of Wellsboro, PA, died Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. He is survived by his wife, Marian J. (Brugger) Butler, whom he married August 21, 1965.
OB was born October 28, 1944, in Wellsboro, PA, the son of the late George B. and Pauline M. (Paris) Butler. He was a graduate of the Wellsboro High School Class of 1962. He received his B.S. from Penn State with a degree in Animal Science.
OB was a dairy and crop farmer. He and his wife own and operate Pag-Omar Farms Market, Delmar Township.
OB was a former Delmar Township Supervisor, member of the OSSEA Lodge #317, F&AM, Wellsboro, and the Dairy Herd Improvement Association. He was an avid Penn State fan, and enjoyed golfing, hunting and entertaining at his cabin.
He is survived by his wife, Marian; sons and daughters-in-law Scott (Linda) Butler, Ellicottville, NY; Jason (Coleen) Butler, Wellsboro, PA; daughter and son-in-law Amanda (Christopher) Bradley, Dillsburg, PA; seven grandchildren: Bryce and Brooke Butler; Jake and Sarah Bradley; Case, Cole and Violet Butler.
A memorial gathering will be held at his camp on Sunday, November 18, 2018, from 12 - 4 p.m. If desired, memorials in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., Wellsboro, PA.
