Mary M. (Patt) Cleveland, 89, of Wellsboro passed away at her residence on Monday, September 25, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Robert V. Cleveland, who preceded her in death November 17, 1989, they were married for 43 years. Mary was born September 6, 1928, in Morris, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Clara (Furmanek) Patt.
Mary was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She was very involved in her church, running the weekly adorations and volunteering for many aspects of church life. Mary was a very independent woman, she traveled the world, having made many pilgrimages. She enjoyed her daily swim with friends, loved to fish and kayak, even at 89. Mary was loved by her family and friend and will be sorely missed.
Surviving are her sons, Bill Cleveland (Joy) of Alfred Station, NY, Pat Cleveland (Sue) of Melbourne, FL and Bob Cleveland (Terry) of Vero, FL; daughters, Kathy Gannon (Bill) of Harrisburg, PA, Mary Lasko (Ted) of Wellsboro, PA, Clara Unger (Ken) of Merritt Island, FL and Nell Hawn (Alan) of Mansfield, PA; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Marty Patt and Paul Patt, both of Wellsboro, PA; sister, Theresa Kennedy of Wellsboro, PA; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her brothers Ted and George Patt; sisters, Lenore Bowers, Catherine Miller and Josephine Patt.
Family and friends are invited to Mary’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 7-8 PM at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro, with Rosary and Prayer Service to follow at 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday, September 28, 2017, 9:30 AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. David Bechtel officiating. Interment in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 47 Central Ave., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
