Marion F. Tuckman, 75, of Wellsboro, died Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Broad Acres Nursing Home, Wellsboro.
Marion was born on May 25, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Jack and Rosalyn (Meyerowitz) Katzman. She married Samson G. Tuckman on May 5, 1965 and celebrated 44 years of marriage until his passing on December 5, 2009.
Earlier in life she worked as a bookkeeper in a law office. She enjoyed volunteering at the Green Free Library and the Northern Tier Children’s Home Thrift Shop. She was a dedicated member of Acting Up!, a local readers theatre program for seniors. She was an avid gardener, growing various vegetables throughout the year that she turned into sauces or finger foods to pass out to the community.
Marion is survived by three nephews, Ross Haber of Austin, TX; Alan Katzman of Queens, NY; and Chris Katzman of Clearwater, FL.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marion was preceded in death by a brother, Ira Katzman and a sister, Paulette Haber.
A private burial will be held in Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, NY
The family suggests memorial contributions in Marion’s name to be made to Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries, 725 Gee Rd., Tioga, PA 16946.
