Kenneth Carl Palmer

Kenneth Carl Palmer, 83, of Little Marsh, PA, died peacefully at home on April 12, 2018, after a lengthy illness.  Kenneth was born on October 24, 1934 in Mansfield, PA, the only child of the late Carl and Cora Taylor Palmer.

 Kenneth is survived by his wife of 60 years Barbara Fuller Palmer. They were in the same class throughout school and graduated from high school together, being two of the four students in the Class of 1952 at Little Marsh School.

Kenneth lived almost all of his life on the family dairy and beef farm just outside of Little Marsh, PA.  He was a very active member of his community for over 30 years as a Chatham Township Supervisor and was also elected to the Tioga County Association of Township Supervisors. During his years on the county board he served in the offices of president, vice president, and secretary-treasurer.  From there Kenneth was elected to serve on the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors and held offices on that board. In addition, Kenneth was a board member with the Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority, the State Sewage Enforcement Officer Certification Board, the Upper Pine Creek Council of Governments, and the Tioga County Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Advisory Board.  As a former dairy farmer, Kenneth was a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, the Pennsylvania Grange, the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service Committee and the Tioga County Farm Service Agency. He enjoyed collecting antique cars.   Kenneth was also a member of the Westfield United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Barbara, is his son, Paul Palmer (Brenda Cline); daughters, JoAnn and Michael Caligiuri, Deborah Palmer (Grant Talbett), and Sherry and Robert Anderegg; grandchildren, Bobbie Jo and Chad Smeltz, Ashley and Russell Owlett, Holly Palmer, Brian and Courtney Caligiuri, Jacqueline Caligiuri, Sasha and PJ Stiles, Seth Anderegg and Broc Anderegg; great-grandchildren, Drake, Kendra, Dustin, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Layne, Emma, Jaycee, and Presley.

Visitation will be Monday, April 16, 2018 at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, from 12-2 pm, with service to follow at 2:00.  Burial will be in Middlebury Union Cemetery.
