I worked with Jeff a short time, but he impressed me with his dedication to Gettysburg National Military Park. National park work attracts special people like Jeff. He answered his calling with a strong commitment to the park and his co-workers. He is missed, but his sweat and dedication can be seen in every monument and building a Gettysburg park.

My condolences to Jeff's family and friends.

I had the honor of working with Jeff for several years on the monument restorations at GNMP in the 80's. His ready smile and sense of humor, his kindness and consideration and exemplary effort were a great benefit to all who worked with him, and I'm sure to his family even more. All of these years later I still remember Jeff as one of the most steadfast and fine men that I have known.

Dear Miller Family,

Your husband/father was the most humble and selfless man I have ever known. Working with Jeff at Gettysburg NPS the past ten years as his supervisor was a blessing in my life that I will never forget. He taught me so many heartfelt lessons about being a strong man with a humble spirit. He was like a brother to me; a very special man and I loved him.

Heaven gained an angel and we lost one. Be well and rest that Jeffrey has a very special place in heaven, where I believe he continues his passion for helping others.

God Bless,
Dan Mazzotti

Heartfelt sympathy to all of Jeff’s family, Ruth Anne, John, Anne, Margaret, Jann, Steve and Mark! I had the privilege of growing up and graduating with Jeff, a wonderful man who reminded me so much of his Dad. He was always willing to help anyone and always a smile on his face. I will miss seeing him at Snake Hunt when he would come in for breakfast while helping the firemen BBQ chicken. We would always catch up with each other’s lives during those times. RIP Jeff, you will be dearly missed!

Sending prayers and warm hugs to RuthAnn , John and Anne. I was so blessed to grow up with Jeff and go to school with him. He was a big part of my families life. He was always there for my Moms fourth of July picnics helping bbq the chicken and what ever else needed done. We spent many weekend at Gottschalls Hotel drinking a few adult beverages and enjoying our visits. Many picnics at Jeffs house and at our cabin. He always had a big bear hug for me and always made me feel so loved. He was like a brother to me , especially after my brother passed away. He had a heart of gold and would help out anyone that he could. He always had great words of wisdom to share with us. He was the type of person that everyone needed as a friend. He has left lots of happy memories in my heart as he has everyone that knew him. He will be missed by us for sure. We need more Jeffs in our world !! Love and miss you my dear friend ! Send me some pennies from heaven please !

To Ruth Ann, John, Ann, mother Margaret, brothers Steven and Mark, sister Jann and my classmate, I offer my heartfelt sympathy for your loss of Jeffrey. He was my good friend in youth. Jeff will be missed by everyone that knew him. I can still see the battles taking place on your back porch in Morris. So it was fitting that your life journey would take you into the Army after high school and working for the Park Service later on. You made a lasting legacy and while taken too young, left a positive impression on all that crossed your path. Rest in peace my friend.

Uncle Jeff,
You will be missed by so very many people, especially myself and my family. Not an Uncle by blood, but an Uncle by Heart. Without you I'd be a Jennifer!!
My first memories are down in Blackwell playing Army Men, GI Joe, He-man under the tree by the creek. Having the annual zucchini / squash races and cookouts at your house each summer.
You started each of our coin and stamp collections. You were there for all of our parties, picnics and celebrations. I remember after I graduated from college you gave me an Army blanket (to keep warm in case I broke down), Flashlight (in case I got stuck somewhere at night), a newspaper (because I was an adult know and should read up on worldly events), a pen and paper (always good to have) and my first AAA membership for my car. You wanted to make sure I started my journey right!
As we grew older we graduated from our adored local books that you enjoyed scavenging for; to lottery tickets so that we could win "A Million Dollars!".
I will miss Arrowhead hunting with you, giving you updates on our adventures, learning that you used to carve chained links out of wood, but most of all we will just miss YOU.
Thank you so much for being a part of our lives.
Thank you for being a great role model.
You were very much loved and will be very much missed.

Your Niece Always,
Marie
