Gwendolyn (Rodabaugh) Phillips, 91, of Wellsboro, passed away at Broad Acres Health and Rehab Center, on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn W. Phillips and her second husband, Dale L. Phillips. Gwen was born November 11, 1926, in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Elmer and Mary (Shepard) Rodabaugh.
Gwen was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Wellsboro, where she was very active. Along with her first husband Glenn, she was an enthusiastic supporter and volunteer of SCCA Susquehannock Trail Rally.
Gwen is survived by her daughters, Glenda “Tess” McCarthy (Steven), Wellsboro and Mary Kroldart (Craig), Batavia, NY; grandchildren, Rebecca Charles (Michael), Wellsboro, Dr. Tyler Reese, Ft. Lewis McCord in Washington and Timothy Farrell (Catherine), Richmond, VA; five great-grandchildren, step-sons, Dale “Butch” Phillips, Jr. (Gloria), Trout Run and Harold “Buster” Phillips (Paula), Morris; step-daughter, Beatrice “Sis” Plumley (Phillip), Wellsboro; step-granddaughters, Kaitlin Troyer (Darin), Wellsboro and Anna McCarthy, Fairbanks, Alaska.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, grandson, Jared Reese, and step-son, Walter Phillips.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, 2:00 pm at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro. A visitation will be held from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Wellsboro Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
