Gregory Paul Redell

Gregory P. Redell, 69, of Wellsboro passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 surrounded by his family at The Green Home in Wellsboro. He was born in Wellsboro, PA on April 1, 1948, the son of the late John and Marion (Ketchum) Redell. Greg married Nancy E. (Morris) Redell on May 29, 1971. He worked as a diesel mechanic for most of his career, retiring from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Greg thoroughly enjoyed working on automobiles and also had a fascination with woodworking. He was considered a “Jack of all trades”, as he was always tinkering with miscellaneous projects around home and work. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and two dogs, Wells and Shiela.

Left to cherish his memory are; his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy E. Redell; two sons, Eric (Mindy) Redell and Chris (Brandy) Redell, both of Wellsboro; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Logan of Wellsboro; two borthers, Russell (Sandy) Redell and Ronald (Shirley) Redell, both of Wellsboro; a sister, Marion (Paul) Patt of Wellsboro; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his sister, Arlyne Robinson, his brother, John Redell, Jr., and his cousin, Adrian Ketchum.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, at 7:00 P.M. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901.  Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at the Wellsboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, 725 Gee Road, Tioga, PA 16946.
