Esther E. (Copp) Davis

Esther E. (Copp) Davis, age 95, of Wellsboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at the Green Home in Wellsboro. She was born October 28, 1922, in Cogan House Township, PA, the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Halstead) Copp.

Esther retired from Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, where she was employed as a cook in their cafeteria. In her leisure time, she enjoyed travelling and being outdoors. Some of those outdoor activities included hiking, camping and picking berries & apples. She was also a great cook, especially when it came to baking pies and cookies. Esther will be remembered by family and friends for being a witty, but strong-willed woman with a giving and loving spirit. She will also be missed for her knowledge of history, Wellsboro and the Copp family.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Arnold Copp and Charles Copp; nephews, Craig Jones, Dennis Copp and Mark Copp; nieces, Cindy Copp and Lisa Copp; and many dear friends.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Orin Copp, and her sister, Martha Jones.

In keeping with Esther’s wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of her family.
