Douglass Jason Sloan, 35, of Bangor, PA passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2018. He was born on November 24, 1982 in Princeton, NJ, the son of Douglas A. Sloan and Yasmine Fuleihan.
Douglass graduated from Montgomery High School and worked as a laborer in a couple of machine shops near his home. He enjoyed playing video games, reading fantasy novels, and was talented on the billiard tables as well. Douglass enjoyed listening to heavy metal music, especially Ozzy Osbourne. Some of his additional hobbies included Martial Arts and working on automobiles. He was also quite the handyman, completing many carpentry and miscellaneous repair projects. His love for nature and animals went hand-in-hand with his kind-hearted personality. He was always willing to help friends or family in need. Douglass will be remembered by family and friends for his great sense of humor.
Left to cherish his memory are his father and step-mother, Douglas and Stacey Sloan of Bangor, PA; mother and step-father, Yasmine Fuleihan and Gene Luther of Wellsboro; sons, Jason and Robert Sloan of Bangor, PA; brother, Ryan Sloan of Bangor, PA; sisters, Sarah (Eli) Sloan of Wellsboro, Jamie Lyn Waclawik of Browns Mills, NJ; grandmother, Ruth Sloan of Bangor; two nephews, Ayden and Wyatt, and a third nephew, Craig, on the way.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Douglass’ name to God’s Family Fellowship, 249 Old Tioga St., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
A receiving of family and friends will take place on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, with his funeral service to immediately follow at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901. Pastor Joe Wagner will officiate services and Douglass will be laid to rest in the Shumway Hill Cemetery, Wellsboro.
