Dennis Michael Jungquist

Dennis Michael Jungquist, 66, of Wellsboro, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. He was born May 23, 1952 in Wellsboro, the son of Harry R. and Minerva (Amacher) Jungquist.

Dennis was a Welllsboro High School graduate and a member of the Niles Valley United Methodist Church. He had many hobbies and interests, some of which included hunting and reading western/history literature. His true passion was fire safety, having served as a member of the Middlebury Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Tioga County Fire Association as a County Coordinator. Additionally, he worked professionally as a firefighter in Corning, NY for four years and sold fire equipment with American LaFrance. There is no denying that Dennis devoted his life to keeping others safe from harm.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Minerva Jungquist of Wellsboro; brother and sister-in-law, Robert K. Jungquist and Diane Beaudry; sister and brother-in-law, Tracy R. Antorcha and Ramiro Antorcha, Jr. of Florida; nieces, Abby Yeagle and Danielle Jungquist; nephews, Brian R. Jungquist and Daniel Yeagle; and many dear friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Harry R. Jungquist; brother, Brian Jungquist; niece, Sara Yeagle.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018, 2:00 p.m., at the Niles Valley United Methodist Church with Pastor Kristi Webster officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to service from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be held in the Wellsboro Cemetery.
