David was the nicest man I ever knew! He was kind, gentle, caring, loving, thoughtful and sweet. He was my oldest brother and he was ALWAYS there for me. I have wonderful memories from great times with him and Maudie. I will miss him for the rest of my life. Thank you, Goober, for going ahead and making a place for me. All my love, "Little" Sister Barbara

Suzy, Cindy & Families

We are so sorry to learn of his passing. "Goober" was one of the finest, gentlest men we ever have known. His sudden passing leaves a big empty spot in our hearts. Throughout the years we shared so many wonderful times with he and "Maudie" - moments we shall treasure forever. It was a privilege to call him our friend. Rest in peace, dear David.

Dear Cindy and Susie,
So thankful you had special time with him in August. What a treasure! Praying that you and your families will find comfort in these difficult days. Remembering girlhood days and what a patient, fun-loving dad he was and in adult days he was just the same! Love, Gloria

CINDY, SUSIE AND MARGE, WE HAVE BEEN FRIENDS WITH DAVE AND JANET SINCE BEFORE THEY WERE MARRIED. WE SOMETIMES CELEBRATED OUR ANNIVERSARIES TOGETHER. DAVE WAS A GOOD MAN AND WE WILL MISS HIM. MARGE, YOU MADE HIM HAPPY THE LAST FEW YEARS AND WE ENJOYED STOPPING AT YOUR HOUSE TO VISIT. WE WON'T BE ABLE TO BE THERE TOMORROW BUT WE WILL BE THINKING OF YOU. LOVE, LEW AND MARCIA

Goodbye dear friend. In all the years of knowing you, we never heard you raise your voice in anger. You only saw the good in people, and only gave advise when asked. Wow, did we have good times when we were together! We'll miss you and your great smile. Rest in Peace.

Thinking of the Cornell family. My parents spoke fondly of their long ago friendship with David and Janet. It was special for us to get to know Cindy, Rob and family when crossing paths in Mansfield years later. With our condolences and love, Sue and Tom

Dear Cindy, & Susie,
When I first knew your dad he was a school boy. I was there to see him "courting" your mom, then came the wedding & next two beautiful daughters. So many fond memories. When he visited me last month, we had may chuckles. Thanks so much for your call.
I won't be able to be with you on Saturday, but my love and prayers will be.
My love to you and the family.

This was a real shock to me. He was one of my best friends back in high school days. Talked with him on Monday at the country club. A great guy that we won't forget. Sorry for your loss.

Dear Cindy and Susie,
We were saddened to hear about your father and want you to know that we have many special memories of him, and your mother. Our parents enjoyed their friendship, and Joe and I remember the snowmobile trips to Cedar Run, among other gatherings, also. We had a lot of respect for your dad. Hugs to you both and your families in the next few days. Our prayers are with you.
