Anthony F. “Tony” Sklodowski, 69, of Gaines, PA passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Tony was the husband of Cheryl (Blew) Sklodowski, who preceded him in death on July 15, 2017. They shared 45 years of marriage together. He was born on June 16, 1948 in Doylestown, PA, the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Kosak) Sklodowski.
Tony graduated from Central Bucks High School and served four years in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He coached pee wee football in Warrington, PA for many years and enjoyed watching all sports, especially basketball. Tony was also quite the outdoorsman, as he appreciated fishing and nature in general. He was Vice President of the Deer Lick Association of Gaines. He had a knack for collecting Native American artifacts and travelled often with his wife, Cheryl. Tony also loved music, specifically the 60’s and soul music. He will be remembered by family and friends for his great sense of humor.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Ronald (Ladonna) Sklodowski of Warminster, PA; nephews, Ronald Sklodowski, Jr. of Warminster, PA and J.D. Blew of Telford, PA; mother-in-law, Nancy Blew of Telford, PA; many additional friends and co-workers. In addition to his loving wife, Cheryl, Tony was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, James Blew.
In keeping with Tony’s wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of his family. Local arrangements are entrusted to Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., Wellsboro.
