Aletha King Davis, born on July 13, 1923, in Knoxville, PA, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 3, in Greensboro, NC, at the age of 95.
Born into a Pennsylvania farm family, Aletha was a loving mother and caregiver, as well as an avid bird enthusiast, gardener, camper, music lover and family historian. While living in Wellsboro, PA, she worked for 20 years in sales at Sears & Roebuck, while raising daughter, Brenda, and son, Gregory.
Aletha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Neil G. Davis, brother Cecil King and sister Gertrude K. Elliott. She is survived by her two children, Brenda Stevens of Jamestown, NC, and Gregory Davis of San Tan Valley, AZ, as well as many members of her extended family, including James Stevens and Marlene Davis, spouses of her children; grandchildren, Trent Stevens, Kelly Childs, Andrew Stevens, Bret Davis, Jennifer Taylor and Jill Davis; and great grands, Samuel Childs and Cooper Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the United Methodist Church, 36 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA. Arrangements are under the care of Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., Wellsboro, PA, with burial held at Tioga County Memorial Gardens, also in Wellsboro.
