Robert W. Henneman

Robert W. Henneman, 84, of Wellsboro, passed away on March 15, 2017 at The Green Home.  He was the husband of Mary Lou Grube, whom he married on December 1, 1956. They moved to Wellsboro in 1958 where they have resided for 59 years.

 Bob was born April 15, 1932 in Warren, PA the son of the late Charles F. and Madeline M. (Masters) Henneman. He grew up in North Tonawanda, NY. 

Bob honorably served in the US Navy from 1955-1956. He was employed by Mergenthaler for 23 years as a Tool and Die Maker.  Bob then worked full time for Mansfield University as a police officer.

Bob was involved in many aspects of the Wellsboro community.  He was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, served as Charleston Twp. Constable for over 36 years; lifetime member of the Wellsboro Fire Dept., Chief of Police for Shippen Twp., part-time Police Officer for Wellsboro Police Dept., lifetime member of the Wellsboro Ambulance Association, member of Wellsboro Men’s Chorus, member of FOP Lodge, lifetime member of NRA  and member of Nessmuk Rod & Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lou Henneman; three sons, John R. Henneman (Debbie) of Cable, OH, Steven J. Henneman (Patti) of Wellsboro, PA, Martin K. Henneman (Julie)of Bradford, PA;  five granddaughters , Erin , Meghan, Gretchen, Alexandra and Sophia; two great-grand children, Luke and Leah;  two brothers, Harry Henneman (Dorothy) Algonac, MI and Phillip Henneman (Annette) Nashville, TN; three sisters, Joann Stiner, Nashville, TN, Janet Gleason, Palm Bay, FL and Nancy Henneman, Ft. Wayne, IN; many nieces and nephews.

Bob’s Life Celebration will be held from 6-8 PM Friday, March 17, 2017 at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., 139 Main St.,  Wellsboro.   Funeral Service will be held   Saturday, March 18, 2017 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 53 West Ave., Wellsboro, PA with Pastor Fred Poeppel officiating.
