Dorothy L. (Schenck) Wilson

Dorothy L. Wilson, 86, of Westfield, PA, passed away at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. She was the wife of George W. Wilson, who preceded her in death. Dorothy was born February 8, 1931 in Somerville, NJ she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Elizabeth (Galla) Schenck.

Dorothy was a former bus driver.  She loved children, which was evidenced by her caring for her own for 45 years; as well as religiously attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, which included football, baseball, wrestling and karate.  Dorothy loved her dogs they were her companions.

Surviving are her sons, Dan Wilson (Karen), Mike Wilson (Lisa), all of Little Marsh, PA and Steven Wilson (Avery) of Ft. Sill, OK; daughters, Cindy Wilfrid (Chris), Piscataway, NJ, Debbie Moore (Chuck) of West Virginia and Diana Kirschman (Don) of Harrisburg, PA; grandchildren, Dan Jr. (Allison), Kevin (Charrisse), Bobby, Krystal (Earl), Kimberly (Alex), Chris, Cory, Brandon, Matthew, Jared, Christopher; great grandchildren, Brady, Breece, Brynn, Zeraya, Zander, Zayanah, Ariana, Alex; several nieces and nephews.

Besides Dorothy’s parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ted and Tom and her sisters, Gloria and Charlotte.

Dorothy’s Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA., and Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 10-11 AM, funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Darwin “Tink” Cranmer officiating.  Burial in Middlebury Union Cemetery.
