Dorothy M Mosher

Dorothy M. Mosher, age 92, of Pinnacle Towers, Wellsboro, PA, passed away peacefully June 27, 2017, at Broad Acres Nursing Home with her family by her side.  Dorothy was married to Calvin H. Mosher for 72 years, who passed away May 15, 2017.  Dottie was born August 1, 1924, in Wellsboro, to the late Ernest and Velma Wood Makin.  Dottie was a graduate of the Wellsboro High School Class of 1942.  She was a retired legal secretary, former craft store owner, and a Tioga County Jury Commissioner for many years.  Dottie was a member of the Keeneyville United Methodist Church.  She loved doing crafts, counted cross stitch, camping, and loved her plants and flowers; but most of all she loved her family and friends.

She is survived by 3 daughters and son-in-law:  Patsy Melson of Ruther Glen, VA; Virginia Bair of Bainbridge, PA; Annette Mosher (Thom VanEs) of The Netherlands; 2 sons and daughters-in-law:  Calvin T. "Pete" and Cindy Mosher of Wellsboro, PA; and Timothy and Barb Mosher of Addison, NY; 21 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; brother Gene Makin and sister-in-law Carol Makin, both of Wellsboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Dottie was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Mosher, and brothers Robert and Jerry Makin.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family, Pastor Jane Shumway officiating. Burial will be at Middlebury Union Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Keeneyville United Methodist Church, PO Box 32, Middlebury Center, PA  16935.
