Anthony J. “Tony” DiMarco, 86, of Wellsboro, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at The Green Home, Wellsboro. Tony was born on August 18, 1931 in Williamsport, the son of the late Paul and Rosalia (Raia) DiMarco.
Tony was the owner of the former Tony’s Pizza and worked primarily as a laborer for Ward Manufacturing in Blossburg, retiring in 2003. He truly enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife, spending many hours mowing and maintaining his property along with feeding and observing the local wildlife. Tony was known to be very frugal, utilizing all resources and seeking out the best deals. He also loved playing bass guitar and played in a number of bands at some of the local nursing homes and senior centers. Tony will be remembered by friends and family for his humble and generous personality.
Left to cherish Tony’s memory is his sister, Donna Engle and family of Williamsport; nephew, Jace DiMarco and family of Williamsport; and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Tony’s name to the Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries, 725 Gee Road, Tioga, PA 16946.
Tony’s memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, 6:00 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901. There will be one hour of visitation prior to service from 5-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Darwin “Tink” Cranmer will be officiating services.
